The endeavor of a joint scientific team of the Global Change Research Centre AS CR p.r.i. and Mendel University in Brno is to monitor drought outside the Czech Republic as well. The team stands behind the portal www.intersucho.cz and it operates the Integrated drought monitoring system (IDMS). Currently, the monitoring of agricultural drought is being extended to the territory of the Slovak Republic.
Extreme weather fluctuations, melting icebergs, rising ocean levels – these are just some of the impacts of climate change. What are possible scenarios, what influences them, what can governments do and what can we do as individuals?

CzechGlobe aircraft equipped by sensors HyPlant (FZJ), TASI-600 and LMS Q-780 is part of ESA FLEXSense campaign since beginning of June. Campaign is focused on supportive measurements for the future satellite mission FLEX. Areas of interest are located in the Italy, Germany, France Switzerland and Spain. Another teams with airborne imaging sensors APEX (UZH), AVIRIS NG (NASA) or sensors for atmospheric measurements (METAIR) are associated partners of the campaign as well.
